Mr. Huang embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. His early career included a commendable stint in military service as a Second Lieutenant, where he developed a strong foundation in discipline and leadership that paved the way for his subsequent achievements in the global financial sector.

Global Trajectory and Professional Development

Mr. Huang’s career in finance began as a commodity trader with the Cargill Group, a role that honed his analytical skills and understanding of global markets. Seeking to deepen his expertise, he moved to the United States to pursue an MBA in Corporate Finance and an MS in Money & Banking Management from Adelphi University.

His professional ascent continued on Wall Street and the Pacific Rim with Rainier Bancorp, where he was a key player in the bank’s expansion. As the Head of the International Trade Department at ANZ Bank, Mr. Huang championed significant corporate milestones.

Founding EverTrust Bank

In 1995, Mr. Huang founded EverTrust Bank, initially a modest institution with $30 million in assets. Under his leadership, EverTrust grew to an impressive $310 million by 2006. His strategic acumen was further demonstrated by a $66 million acquisition in 2007, solidifying the bank’s market position.

Leadership at New Omni Bank

Taking the helm of New Omni Bank in 2011 and appointed as Chairman in 2012, Mr. Huang has been pivotal in steering the bank from $153 million in assets in 2011 to an impressive $538 million in 2023.
